This position involves operating specialised mechanical plant and equipment, requiring a valid Certificate of Competency to ensure safe and effective operation.

Position Remuneration: LGEA Level 5 + Construction Workers Allowance (CWA) ($66,514 Base annual salary which is inclusive of CWA) / ($75,498 Total remuneration package which is based on permanent full-time employee and inclusive of 12% employer superannuation and 17.5% leave loading).

About You

To undertake this position, you will have extensive experience and knowledge of delivering and maintaining efficient and effective day-to-day operation of backhoe for civil maintenance and construction tasks

The position's focus will be:

Operate specific mechanical plant.

Ensure that plant is kept in a safe, clean and serviceable condition.

Undertake general construction and maintenance labouring tasks as required.

Ensure that all daily documentation is completed on time (e.g. timesheets, logbooks and incident reports etc) and report operational and safety matters to the relevant officer.

Work effectively as a member of a high performing work team and ensuring the provision of quality customer service at all times.

Ensure that all work is carried out in a timely manner to the required quality standards and identify new ways to improve work practices.

Participate, as required, in the after-hours duty roster and provide assistance during emergencies such as floods, bushfires, etc.

Such other relevant duties as required from time to time which would generally fall within the scope of this position.
