We’re alignr — a modern recruitment partner helping fast-growing Australian companies hire smarter and scale sustainably. This time, we’re partnering with a Global FMCG business, based in Sydney CBD that’s shaking up the health and wellness space.

Are you looking for…

  • A hands-on P&C leadership role with room to build, influence, and grow?
  • A tight-knit, ambitious team in a scaling business where your impact is visible and valued?
  • A fast-moving, people-first culture that’s more “get it done” than “corporate process”?

What’s in it for you?

  • Full-time Perm role
  • Paying from $150,000 - $ 170,000 Base + Super
  • 50% off all products (and 25% off for friends & family monthly)
  • Free Local Gym Memberships in progress
  • Sydney CBD Location (Ultimo)
  • 4 Days in Office | 1 Day WFH
  • Exposure to scaling a business across Australia & Singapore

Your next Company
Our client is a consumer brand on a mission, building “better-for-you” health and wellness products (think supplements, proteins, pre-workouts, and more). With 65 staff in Sydney and over 100 globally, they’re growing rapidly and just opened a new office in Singapore.

Walk into their HQ and you’ll feel it: energy, ambition, and a love of growth. This team moves fast, backs each other, and wants to build something meaningful.

Your SLT
You’ll be partnering with a seriously switched-on and collaborative SLT, a group of ambitious, values-led leaders who combine sharp commercial acumen with genuine care for their people.

This is a high-functioning, close-knit team who enjoy what they do, back each other, and want to make an impact.

Current state of P&C
The foundations are there, thanks to a high-impact former People leader & current team. There's structure, but it needs refinement. There’s an appetite for people initiatives, but they need ownership and follow-through. This is a great opportunity for someone to take what’s been started, level it up, and make it their own.

You’ll have 1 direct report - who is a driven, up-and-coming HR professional who takes initiative, get things done, and looks to you for guidance as she continues to grow.

Potential manager:

Reporting to the chief of staff based in the US. She is the kind of leader people love working with clear, adaptable, and genuinely invested in building a great team. Brings a rare mix of process thinking and flexibility, knowing when to bring structure and when to just get it done. She leads with trust, asks smart questions, and gives her team the space to run with things. You won’t be micromanaged here, you’ll be supported, challenged, and given room to make your mark.

Expect regular check-ins, collaborative planning, and a manager who balances high standards with a grounded, human approach.

What do you do?
Reporting to a high-calibre leader who loves process but thrives in ambiguity, this is a do-it-all people role. Key things you’ll be owning right away is the action plans from the engagement surveys that were recently run. Own the performance review process and collaborate with planning sessions on the 12-month roadmap. Also:

  • Shape and deliver HR strategies that support growth, culture, and workforce planning.
  • Build a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and high performance.
  • Own the full employee lifecycle, from hire to exit, with a compliance-first mindset.
  • Lead recruitment end-to-end: attract, assess, and hire top talent.
  • Design and roll out impactful learning and development programs.
  • Keep HR records accurate, up-to-date, and confidential.
  • Stay sharp on industry trends and HR best practices.
  • Lead change initiatives tied to growth, structure, and performance.
  • Be a trusted go-to for leaders and staff, handling ER matters with care.
  • Champion DEI by embedding it across all people processes.

Who This Role Isn’t For

  • Needs rigid structure or slow decision cycles
  • Wants full remote or passive back-office HR
  • Gets overwhelmed by ambiguity & pace

Who Would Thrive in This Role!

  • Are practical, people-first, and thrive on momentum
  • Enjoy coaching, mentoring, and enabling others
  • Have experience in FMCG, consumer brands, or scale-ups
  • Love a bit of repetition, but also crave improvement
  • Want to embed structure and impact a growing, values-led business

The must-haves

  • 7+ years' experience in HR Generalist or P&C leadership, ideally within Australia
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and best practice
  • Track record driving culture, engagement, and performance uplift
  • Confident communicator and trusted advisor to senior leaders
  • Passionate about building inclusive, high-performing teams
  • Experience in fast-paced, scaling businesses or fast-moving SMEs (global or start-up a plus)
  • Comfortable owning both strategy and hands-on delivery
  • Must be on-site 4 days a week (1 day WFH)

The nice to haves

  • Exposure to FMCG or consumer goods preferred, not essential
  • Passion for wellness, fitness or health products

Hiring Process

  • Step 1: Quick screener call
  • Step 2: Interview with the hiring manager
  • Step 3: Final interview with CEO and peers
  • Step 4: Pre-Employment Checks / Offer
