As a Connect CWS Residential Youth Worker, you will be financially remunerated according to the likely challenges of your shift. Your shifts could range from short morning or afternoon shifts, full days and sleepover shifts. Nights, weekends and public holidays which incur higher penalty rates.

About the role:
If you share our passion for delivering quality client-centred services within the residential care environment and are passionate to significantly improve the lives of children and young people we’d love to hear from you. This role is specific to residential care where you will be supporting young people in their everyday lives within their home. The rotating roster consist of 24hrs, 7 days a week support.
To be Successful, you will have:
A completed or working towards completion of minimum Certificate IV level qualification in a child/youth related field
A current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain one)
A current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
A high level of reporting skills and computer literacy
An understanding of trauma and attachment theories and the resulting behaviours likely to be demonstrated by our young people
Regular availability for sleep overs and weekend shifts
Desirable but not compulsory:
Hope and Healing Certificate
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trained
Youth Mental Health First Aid
Experience working with Indigenous and CALD clients
Salary & Benefits
Pay rates based on SCHADS Award / Social & Community Services Employee - Casual: Level 2.1
Night and weekend penalty rates on top of the base rate
