About the role

As a Yard Attendant/Delivery Driver at Northern Hire Group Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role as part of our team of friendly & professional staff, offering a high level of customer service & satisfaction.

This position will initially be on a casual basis of a minimum of 40 hours and will become full-time on completion of a successful probationary period.

What you'll be doing

Assist with the loading, unloading and storage of goods and equipment in the yard

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required

Deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner

Provide excellent customer service and liaise with clients, including demonstration on how to use equipment.

Clean and assist with basic maintenance of equipment

Support the wider team as needed to ensure the smooth running of operations, which includes answering of phones and input of data into a specialised computer program (training will be provided).

What we're looking for

A minimum MR licence, and experience operating a range of vehicles, including forklifts

Strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service

Excellent time management and organisational abilities

A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn

Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role

Experience with building & construction and gardening/landscaping equipment is desirable

Hours of work

Northern Hire Group understands the need for a healthy work/life balance and offers this position over 4-5 days per week, including 2 weekend shifts per month (Saturday 8.00-5.00 & Sunday 8.00-1.00).
