About the company:

Family owned and operated scrap metal business that has been the go to place for scrap metal solutions for 50+ years are offering a long term position for a suitably experienced yard person/forklift driver to join the team at their busy and well respected Mordialloc site. Ideally we are looking for someone with scrap metal or waste industry experience, but if you are self-motivated, keen to learn about steel grading and are looking for long term security, then this could be the next role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Forklift operation
  
• Loading and unloading of trucks and containers
  
• Customer service - identifying, sorting and processing of scrap metal materials
  
• Operate shear, hand tools to handle, process and transport materials
  
• Work with a team in a small yard with high volumes
  

Requirements

Key Requirements:

• Solid experience on a forklift within a busy yard
  
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality
  
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a close-knit team
  
• Adaptability - can adapt to changing priorities and tasks when needed
  
• Strong work ethic
