About the role

Timberfy is a leading manufacturer of custom-made furniture and cabinetry. We are seeking a Delivery Driver and Workshop Hand to join our team in our state-of-the-art workshop in Sunshine West, VIC. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for deliveries, and supporting our production crew from finishing to quality control.

What you'll be doing

Driving our truck to deliver solid timber furniture and joinery to mostly warehouses and occasionally homes

Assisting with lifting (with a second person) and fitting off furniture items ready for delivery

Checking over the quality and finish of items before dispatch

Applying hard wax oil and other timber finishes when required

Helping out in the workshop — sanding, packing, tidying, or assisting the makers

Performing general maintenance and repair work in our timber workshop

Adhering to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

A current Australian heavy vehicle driver's licence

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role

Physically fit — comfortable with lifting heavy solid timber products

Experience using power tools

Furniture, cabinetry or timber industry experience preferred

A good attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic

Familiarity with the local area and strong navigation skills

Good customer service skills and the ability to provide a positive delivery experience

Basic carpentry and handyman skills to support tasks in the timber workshop

Mon–Thurs: 7:00am–3:30pm
Friday: 7:00am–1:30pm
