The Opportunity

Reporting to the Finance Manager as part of the Perth-based Finance Team on a 12 month fixed term contract, the Accounts Clerk supports the financial management and sustainability of the IBN Group by ensuring accuracy in maintaining financial records, processing end-to-end accounts payable and receivable, and the reconciliation of bank statements and credit card transactions.

The Role

Key responsibilities include and are not limited:

Perform Monthly checks, reconciliation and reporting of cards, accounts and term deposits as required within prescribed timeframes.

Process ownership to facilitate smooth end to end payment processes for both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Administration of invoices, financial documents and correspondence as directed and required

Payment and reconciliation of all Vendor Accounts within terms and payment run schedules

Assist with daily purchasing card uploads and account reconciliation

Manage all inbound Mail and Emails (internal and external)

Assist with month-end processes, including reporting, and reconciliations

At all times perform duties in accordance with organisational policies and standard operating procedures

Continuously conducts themselves in accordance with the IBN Code of Conduct, HR policies and Work Health and Safety policies

Other administrative tasks and duties as required

The Requirements

Essential

2 to 3 years of working experience in a similar role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

An ability to solve problems, and Process Ownership.

Effective time management skills and strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Highly motivated and enthusiastic, with effective communication and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Adaptable and open to learning new skills and methodologies.

An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

Desirable

Experience using ERP solutions NetSuite and MYOB

Experience in working with Aboriginal people and understanding Aboriginal Australian culture

Able to travel and work throughout Western Australia according to business needs

Qualifications

Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting or progress towards the same highly regarded.

Appointment requirements

National Police Check (no older than 6 months and renewed every 3 years)
