Are you experienced with irrigation systems or keen to learn, and enjoy working outdoors in a team that makes a real difference in your community?

We’re looking for a reliable and proactive General Hand – Parks & Environment to join our Irrigation Team, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining the health and appearance of our parks, gardens, and sports fields through effective irrigation and water management.

What you’ll do:

Install, maintain, and repair reticulation systems across Shire managed parks and reserves

Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot faults, and ensure efficient water usage

Operate and maintain irrigation equipment and tools (manual and automated systems)

Assist with mowing, horticulture and general maintenance programs and projects as required

What we’re looking for:

Qualifications in Horticulture or relevant industry experience.

Irrigation experience in a medium to large scale environment

White Card

Be willing to obtain if needed: Basic Traffic Management, Chemical Handling, Chainsaw Operator, and First Aid.

Sound communication skills with the ability to be able to communicate clearly and concisely to a broad range of stakeholders.
