Surepipe has a long and successful history supplying work-ready pressure, structural steel pipe and casing solutions to clients. Australian owned and operated, our company was established over 35 years ago and has recently moved its headquarters to Brendale.

About the role

This is a new role supporting production on our new pipe profiling machine.

You will be responsible for complete sales cycle, including quoting, through to scheduling and overseeing production, arranging deliveries and invoicing.

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and design models, estimating / quoting and working with customers.

Developing production drawings using AutoCAD or similar.

Exporting customer supplied drawings into ProCAM software, nesting parts and preparing for production.

Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product, including dimensional and cut quality checks.

Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process and providing root cause analysis / corrective actions for all NCR’s related to processing.

Working with suppliers to facilitate preventive maintenance, breakdown support and consumable purchases.

Liaising with external sales staff and visiting customers when required. Assisting with business development activities to drive revenue growth for processing department.

Ensure compliance to the company's Workplace Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will:

Strong customer service ethic and attention to detail.

Experience providing detailed customer quotes and supporting technical interpretations and have the ability to read and interpret design drawings and manage the manufacturing process.

Have 3-5 years’ experience as a CNC programmer with experience with AutoCAD or similar a must, experience with Tekla an advantage.

Experience with HGG pipe cutting and profiling machines an advantage.

Previous experience with steel pipe and fittings, including Victaulic a definite advantage.

Working knowledge of both plasma and oxy cutting methodologies.

Have a commitment to quality, safety and customer service.

Pre-employment medical screening required.

Applicants making second round interviews will be required to demonstrate their experience in a real-world environment. This will include the use of AutoCAD Fusion to create drawings and setting up a state of the are pipe profiling machine for production.
