About Kingold Group
Established in the early 1990s, Kingold Group is a leading multinational enterprise with a strong presence across Australia, China, and Europe. With over 10,000 employees globally, the Group operates across diverse sectors including real estate, manufacturing, and now expanding aggressively into international food trade. As part of this strategic growth, Kingold Global Food Import and Export Pty Ltd is building its Australian and New Zealand base to strengthen procurement and trading activities, particularly involving Australia, New Zealand and China.

This is a critical early stage hire that will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s operational framework and long-term strategy, not only in the Australian and New Zealand market, but as a foundation for future global expansion. While our immediate focus is on establishing and scaling our procurement and trade operations between Australia and China, our long-term vision is to expand into other international markets across Asia, Europe, and North America. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a growing global enterprise at a formative stage, contributing directly to its international footprint and strategic growth trajectory.

You will be reporting to the CEO of Kingold Global Food Import and Export Pty Ltd. A strong procurement network in the Australian food industry is essential, along with in-depth knowledge of customs and regulatory procedures, especially in the Australia–China trade corridor.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the full procurement lifecycle, from supplier identification and negotiation to inventory management and order fulfilment

Oversee all import/export operations, ensuring full compliance with Australian, New Zealand and Chinese customs and trade regulations

Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and international customers

Develop and execute global trade strategies that ensure efficient, cost-effective, and scalable logistics solutions

Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sourcing and trade strategy

Provide leadership and direction to a growing team of trade and procurement professionals

What We’re Looking For

10+ years of experience in global procurement and trade, ideally in the food or manufacturing sectors

Proven network within the Australian food procurement industry, especially in meat, seafood, and agricultural commodities

Deep understanding of international trade laws, customs procedures, and compliance requirements for Australia, New Zealand and China

Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management capabilities

Skilled in trade and procurement software platforms

Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business, or a related field
