You will be part of an exciting program delivering a new approach to providing AOD Services.
About the position
The AOD Clinical Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the AOD program is delivered in line with funding conditions, CAAPS strategic direction, best practice standards, legislative requirements and within a culturally safe and ethical environment.
Some of your responsibilities will be to:
Provide management and leadership, mentoring, and professional supervision to the AOD Team, ensuring effective clinical governance and program adherence.
Maintain the high standard and integrity of the approved treatment program delivery.
Deliver client services in compliance with legislative requirements and a culturally safe ethical approach.
Conduct casework with clients at a high standard aligned with CAAPS treatment model and emerging best practices.
Establish strong referral pathways with CAAPS internal programs for clients.
Manage service and clinical-related risks.
Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
Provide data and information for Board, senior management, and performance reporting to funders. Contribute to the Senior Management Team and prepare reports as needed.
Develop and maintain relationships with external organisations to enhance client services.
Your skills, experience and qualifications include:
Hold a tertiary degree or a postgraduate qualification in Social Sciences, Psychology, Counseling, or equivalent and other relevant qualifications
Extensive experience working with people with substance use issues including provision of health-related services will be highly regarded.
Experience in effectively delivering clinical services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people will be highly regarded.
Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain
Current NT Driver’s License (minimum C Class)
Current Criminal History Check
Current Ochre Card (Category E)
Current NAPCAN Mandatory Reporting Certificate, or willingness to obtain
Ability to produce a negative drug screen result on commencement, and maintain a drug-free lifestyle
