The position
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Director of Girls' Boarding to join our vibrant boarding community. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young women, guiding them through their formative years in a supportive and enriching environment.
The role is open to suitably qualified and experienced persons with either a teaching background or non-teaching experience in pastoral care and working with young people.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Boarding in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the girls' boarding house.
Foster a positive and inclusive community, ensuring the wellbeing, safety, and academic support of all boarders. In particular, the ADoGB will work closely with our junior girl boarders in Years 6-8.
Develop and implement engaging activities and programs that promote personal growth, resilience, and leadership skills.
Provide pastoral care and support to students, addressing their individual needs and concerns.
Maintain effective communication with parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
Uphold and enforce the college's values, policies, and procedures.

What you will need to possess
Experience working with young people in a residential or educational setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and trust with students, parents, and staff.
A commitment to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students.
Proven leadership and organisational abilities.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, youth work, or a related field. Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers will be essential for teaching applicants.
For non-teaching applicants, a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain one.
