Are you passionate about supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families? At Churches of Christ, we are looking for a dedicated Support Practitioner – Identified to join our Children, Youth & Families team in Arana Hills.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide case management and tailored support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families.
  • Build strong community partnerships with agencies, carers, and families to create sustainable support networks.
  • Deliver culturally inclusive programs that promote healing, resilience, and well-being.

About You:

  • You are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person (a genuine occupational requirement under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991).
  • You have a degree in social work, psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • You understand the challenges faced by First Nations communities and are passionate about driving positive change.
  • You have experience in child protection, community services, or supporting vulnerable children and families.
  • You possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work sensitively with diverse communities.

Essential:

  • Possess current National Police Certificate, Working with Children (Blue Card), Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS) – or the ability to obtain.
  • Current driver’s licence.
