  • Full-time, fixed term contract till June 2027
  • Great benefits - salary packaging, extra leave, flexible conditions & more!
  • Collaborative and positive workplace culture

At Lung Foundation Australia (LFA), we are passionate about the work we do and the difference we can make to the lives of Australians living with, or at risk of, lung disease and lung cancer.

Our values of BE FAIR guide everything we do, and we are proud of our positive and inclusive workplace culture and supportive team environment.

We are looking for an Enrolled Nurse – Information & Support to join our team based in our Milton office.

About the role

LFA has proudly championed the development of the National Lung Cancer Screening Program, launching in July 2025 - an initiative that will save thousands of lives. To help deliver this program, we are seeking a compassionate and motivated Enrolled Nurse – Information and Support to join our Information and Support Centre.

In this vital frontline role, you will support individuals engaging with our Lung Screening Helpline and broader lung health services. You will play a key part in facilitating shared decision-making, assessing screening eligibility, and providing person-centred education, guidance and information on referral pathways for people impacted by lung disease and lung cancer.

Working collaboratively within a small, dedicated team, you will also help deliver telehealth services, patient education activities, and tailored resources to empower individuals and reduce barriers to care.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide empathetic, evidence-based information and guidance via the Lung Screening Helpline, email, and live chat services.
  • Support screening navigation, including assessing eligibility and explaining the program pathways.
  • Respond to inbound enquiries and deliver outbound engagement calls.
  • Provide up-to-date information and referral pathways for people with lung conditions and their carers or health professionals.
  • Support telehealth administration and facilitate consumer access to internal services (e.g. respiratory nurses, peer support, exercise programs).
  • Assist with development and delivery of patient education activities such as webinars and written resources.
  • Collect accurate data to support program reporting, evaluation and quality improvement.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of support directories and live content hubs.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified and AHPRA-registered Enrolled Nurse with a passion for person-centred care, health literacy, and community engagement. You’ll bring:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in an enrolled nursing role (experience in general practice, oncology or respiratory care desirable).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate with compassion, especially over phone and email.
  • The ability to quickly build knowledge around lung health and screening eligibility.
  • Sound written communication and data entry skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Confidence using digital systems (including Microsoft Office and CRM platforms such as Salesforce).
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

What we offer you!

We are an organisation with a shared purpose and vision. As a winner of The Voice Project Best Workplace Award, we have been recognised as a workplace that has excellent management practices and a highly engaged workforce.

In addition, we also offer:

  • Attractive salary packaging options - up to $15,900 per year in living expenses plus $2,650 per year in entertainment expenses.
  • Hybrid work arrangements - mix of office and work from home.
  • Additional leave including birthday leave, well-being leave and paid parental leave.
  • Professional development allowance per annum.
  • Opportunities to participate in community events and volunteering.
  • Rewards and Recognition program.
  • Wellness program and social events.
  • An Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

If you are passionate about helping others to live their best life with lung disease and thrive in an environment where you can educate and engage with patients about their lung health, then we would welcome you into our team at Australia’s leading lung health charity.
