We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Quality Systems Officer to join our Quality and Compliance Team!

About the Role:

Your primary objectives are to provide technical services and advice to support the development, implementation and improvement of CIA (Cairns Infrastructure & Assets) Directorate’s quality management systems, including the CIA Referable Dam Safety Management System (RDSMS) and Quality Management System (QMS). You will assist with consistency, efficiency and delivery of overall quality systems compliance, including statutory reporting and incident response.

Your everyday tasks could include but not limited to; support and promote an integrated and strategic approach to activities across the CIA directorate, develop, implement, review and update CIA procedural documents where required, assist with the development and maintenance of Directorate and Referable Dam Safety Emergency Action Plans, seek, obtain, monitor and analyse feedback from users to improve systems, processes and reporting, preparation of correspondence emanating from referable dam safety incidents and increase staff awareness of the CIA Quality and Referable Dam Safety management systems, including facilitating training sessions.

Who We Are Looking For:

Relevant qualifications and/or extensive industry experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining Quality Systems.

Demonstrated application of quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001 standards, including conducting quality audits and applying quality audit principles.

Well-developed written communication skills with demonstrated ability to review technical data to prepare associated reports and correspondence.

Demonstrated experience in supporting stakeholders in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain key procedural documents.

Customer focused with a demonstrated ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
