We are looking for a Quality Assurance Officer who is not only qualified, but who thrives under pressure, is obsessive about detail, and is prepared to make difficult calls when needed. This is not a passive or desk-based role. It’s hands-on, high-stakes, and comes with real operational responsibility.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for enforcing our quality systems, monitoring every stage of the production process, and ensuring full compliance with food safety standards and regulatory codes. You will need to be comfortable making decisions that may halt or delay production to protect the integrity of our product and prepared to defend those decisions without compromise.
This is not an entry-level or training-heavy position. We expect the successful candidate to come prepared with real-world QA experience, an in-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks, and a proven ability to follow through with corrective action when others might hesitate.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and verify quality at each stage of production, storage, and dispatch

Implement and uphold quality control procedures based on current legislation and certification requirements

Use statistical and analytical tools to track quality performance and identify areas for immediate improvement

Ensure all documentation, processes, and records align with external audits, internal policies, and customer requirements

Work closely with operational teams to enforce compliance even under pressure or resistance

Coordinate internal audits and prepare for third-party inspections

Maintain familiarity with evolving standards and codes relevant to the food production sector

What We’re Looking For:

A relevant tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Quality Management, or similar

Minimum 3–5 years of direct experience in a food manufacturing QA role (meat industry preferred)

Full working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety auditing procedures

Experience implementing and maintaining quality systems under certification.

Exceptional attention to detail and a "zero-tolerance" approach to quality lapses

Able to work independently, manage time under pressure, and handle difficult operational decisions

Strong written documentation and reporting skills precision matters here
