We’re seeking a dynamic and hands-on Senior Quality Officer to lead, implement and drive quality improvement across our organisation. This role is central to enhancing quality systems, strengthening compliance, and enabling excellence in service delivery. Working closely with the Executive Director – Service Delivery Support & Quality Systems, you will lead quality assurance processes, contribute to risk management and clinical compliance initiatives, help shape and maintain ICS’s Quality Management System, and promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
What you’ll be doing:
Developing and implementing operational and organisational policies, procedures and systems in line with legislation, accreditation and service standards
Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System and supporting clinical and operational governance
Working closely with frontline and leadership staff to ensure continuous quality improvement
Supporting internal and external accreditation and licensing compliance processes
Championing cultural safety, equity, and inclusive practice across all quality and compliance work

Who we are looking for:
You’re experienced in designing, implementing, and monitoring quality systems, and you’re practical in how you do it
You bring strong policy and compliance skills, ideally within human or social services
Strong understanding of key accreditation frameworks including NDIS Quality Standards and Human Services Quality Framework
Familiarity with risk and compliance systems and processes
Proficient in Work Health and Safety and Privacy legislation
You hold a relevant qualification and at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
You have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities calmly and professionally
You hold (or are eligible for) a Blue Card, valid driver licence, and can meet all other relevant screening requirements
Collaborative and supportive team player
Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking
Committed to client-centred, ethical, and principled practice
Able to identify and implement process improvements
Desirable but not essential:
Experience in the community or child protection sector
Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and a commitment to culturally safe practice
