About Somerville Community Services
Somerville is a for-purpose, community-based organisation that has supported Territorians for over 50 years. We specialise in high-quality disability services that empower people to live the life they choose. As a registered NDIS provider, we deliver individualised support across the Northern Territory, with a focus on respectful, person-centred relationships that promote choice, dignity, and independence.
About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality and Systems Coordinator to support our quality, compliance, and continuous improvement activities across Somerville. This position is key to ensuring our services remain safe, effective, and aligned with the NDIS Practice Standards and other compliance requirements. This newly created position reflects our ongoing growth and commitment to strengthening quality and compliance across the organisation.
Reporting to the Manager, Quality and Practice, this role will coordinate internal audits, maintain quality and incident registers, and manage document control processes. You’ll also support critical organisational systems, such as client management, medication, and incident reporting platforms, and coordinate IT assets, ensuring teams are equipped with the tools and guidance they need to deliver high-quality, consistent services.
What you’ll be doing
As Quality and Systems Coordinator, you’ll work across the organisation to monitor compliance, strengthen systems, and support continuous improvement. You’ll be responsible for audit scheduling, data reporting, and version control processes, as well as providing technical support and administration across key digital platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating internal audits, quality checks, and follow-up actions
- Maintaining registers for incidents, complaints, restrictive practices, and continuous improvement
- Supporting external audit preparation and compliance tracking
- Managing document control processes including version control, access permissions, and review schedules
- Administering core quality and reporting systems, including user access, troubleshooting, and data reporting
- Coordinating the delivery and tracking of IT assets, including phones, laptops, and monitors, and liaising with external providers for setup and support
- Supporting analysis and reporting of quality and compliance data
- Providing secretariat support to internal committees and working groups
- Contributing to broader quality, risk, and improvement activities as required
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you’ll be highly organised with strong attention to detail and confidence working with systems and processes. You’ll understand the importance of audit, compliance, and structured documentation in delivering high-quality, person-centred services.
You’ll also bring:
- Proven ability to coordinate internal processes such as audits, compliance checks, or data reporting
- High-level skills in managing structured documentation, including document control and versioning
- Confidence using digital platforms and systems, with the ability to support others and troubleshoot issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder liaison and committee support
- Sound judgment and initiative, with a practical approach to problem-solving and follow-through
- A proactive and accountable mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and service quality
- Experience in the disability sector and knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards (desirable)
You’ll also need to hold (or have the ability to obtain) a current Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations, evidence of Australian work rights, and an NT Drivers Licence.
