Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Mechanical Fitter experienced in maintaining fixed plant equipment by carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks in a safe and efficient manner. This role plays a critical part in supporting production and site operations within a structured and safety-focused environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Supervisors and Mine Maintenance Coordinators to maintain operational efficiency while adhering to rigorous safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete preventative and corrective maintenance for all equipment
• Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant assets and determine repair action when required
• Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification
• Isolate equipment for maintenance and operational tasks
• Use of SAP to accurately record maintenance tasks
• Arrange for suitable equipment and materials to be available and appropriate allocation of resources to achieve planned outcomes

Requirements:

• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory
• Valid Class C manual driver’s licence
• Mechanical Engineering/Fitting trade qualification
• Confined Space, Working at Heights, First Aid Certificates
• High Risk Work Licences – LF, WP, DG / RB and OHTC (preferred)
• Ability to successfully pass medical assessments and drug & alcohol screening
