Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Senior Speech Pathologist who is ready for a new adventure. As the Senior Speech Pathologist, you will be able to create, lead and deliver crucial services to our regional Griffith communities. This is your opportunity to step into a position where you are in charge and no two days are the same. About the role:
Joining a high performing multidisciplinary team, you will support services for a range of clients including children, adults and their loved ones. You will be an integral piece of a collaborative, supportive and empowering team who play an essential role within our community.
As the Senior Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for:
delivering comprehensive speech pathology services
leading a multidisciplinary team to optimise the health care and wellbeing of each client and their loved ones
supporting complex cases with a variety of challenges and considerations to navigate

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
An in-depth understanding and ability to provide speech pathology services in a curious and empathetic way
Tertiary Qualifications and a Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
High level of professionalism with ability to work independently and as part of a large team
Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise services where necessary

Selection Criteria
1. Hold a recognised degree in Speech Pathology with eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia (Yes/No – drop down questions)
2. Hold a current, unrestricted Class C drivers’ licence and be willing to travel for work purposes. (Yes/No – drop down questions)
3. Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with clients and families who may be resistant to speech pathology assessment and intervention, using client-centred and collaborative approaches.
4. Experience in coordinating community-based rehabilitation and/or case management for individuals with complex needs.
5. Proven ability to lead, implement, and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and service development activities, as well as to drive continuous quality improvement in collaboration with other team members.
6. Proven experience in managing complex and sensitive situations, including issues related to child protection, domestic violence, elder abuse, guardianship, and sudden loss or deterioration in client condition.
