About the role

This is a full-time Heavy Vehicle Mechanic role with Price and Sons Mechanical Pty Ltd, located in Narangba, Queensland. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles, ensuring they are operating safely and efficiently to support our clientele with their fleets.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair various mechanical and electrical faults on heavy vehicles

Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance to prevent breakdowns and maximise vehicle uptime

Perform modifications and upgrades to improve vehicle performance and safety

Maintain detailed records of all work completed and parts used

Ensure workshop tools and equipment are well-maintained and used safely

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics and apprentices as required

What we're looking for

Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with 3+ years of hands-on experience

Expert knowledge of heavy vehicle systems and components, including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes and electrical systems

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve faults

Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards

Confident in the use of computerised diagnostic equipment and workshop tools

Current driver's licence
