In your downtime, we will provide 2 return airfares p.a. (inc. spouse/dependents) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with your recreation leave; of which we offer 5 weeks p.a. with a 17.5% loading/bonus.
- Base salary ranges between $65,828 and $72,079 p.a. (Nurse Grade 1 (Band 1)).

Cloncurry Multipurpose Health Service provides rural and remote hospital services including an inpatient facility, a residential aged care facility, an emergency department and an outpatient department. A multidisciplinary model of care is implemented across the continuum with inpatient services supported by a medical superintendent.
About the role
The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) works in the Aged Care Annex assisting with the provision and delivery of safe and quality patient and family centred nursing care to enable a positive experience and health outcomes at Cloncurry Multi-Purpose Health under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM).
Requirements
- While not mandatory, there is an expectation that applicants will possess or be working towards Certificate III qualification in Aged Care, Health Service Assistant or equivalent qualification.
- This position may require you to work on call, continuous shift rotations, weekend work as per departmental business requirements.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- Aged Care Pre Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
