Top Stock Agencies Mareeba is one of the leading manufacturers of rural animal feeds and stock producers in Far North Queensland and are a wholly owned subsidiary of NQ CO-OP Ltd. We are currently seeking a locally based Trade Assistant (T/A) to join our maintenance operations team in Mareeba, Far North Queensland.

Job Purpose:
​​​​​This is an onsite manufacturing plant based role, requiring the Trades Assistant to work alongside the maintenance fitter assembling parts, inspecting silos, augers and other associate machinery.

To perform this role the applicant will be required to follow instructions, be mechanically minded and ensure attention to detail is achieved to meet our quality benchmarks.

Job Description:
It is a diverse hands-on role which would suit a keen labourer with mechanical knowledge awho wants to step up with the ability to work on both fabrication and maintenance work. This could range from assisting with the replacement of replacing bearings or conveyors to carrying out fabrication, cutting and repair work on equipment or structures such as grain silos, hoppers and conveying systems. There will also be regular servicing tasks for the feed production machinery such as changing oils, filters and lubricants etc

Tickets / Licences:

Current Manual C Class Drivers Licence

Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights certification (desireable)

EWP or Riggers ticket highly desirable

Forklift licence / ticket preferred but not essential.

The successful candidate will have a solid work ethic and excellent time management. Reliability is vital along with an eye for detail and the willingness to work as part of supportive and capable team.
