Position Summary
As a Residential Sales Representative, you will be a key player in driving our rooftop solar systems sales by engaging homeowners and helping them understand the benefits and potential savings of switching to solar power. This role requires a passionate and motivated individual who can effectively communicate the value of solar energy and provide tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of each customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Identify potential sales opportunities by generating leads through marketing, networking, and referrals. Conduct in-depth consultations to assess customer needs and explain our solar products and services.
- Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations that highlight the features, advantages, and benefits of our solar solutions. Educate customers on solar technology, system design, financing options, and governmental incentives.
- Proposal Development: Prepare customised proposals that offer optimal solar solutions based on site evaluations and energy needs assessments.
- Contract Negotiation: Guide potential customers through the sales process, address any concerns, and negotiate terms to close sales effectively.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed of market trends and competitor activities. Provide feedback to management on customer insights and product demand to shape future sales strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team to ensure proposed systems meet quality and regulatory standards. Coordinate with installation teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Post-Sale Support: Maintain relationships with customers after sales to ensure satisfaction and encourage referrals. Handle any customer inquiries or problems regarding system performance or service issues.
Qualifications
- Proven sales experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector, or related fields such as real estate or high-end retail.
- Strong understanding of solar technology and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and calculate customer savings and return on investment from solar installations.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel locally to meet clients when needed.
