The Role
The Wellness and Lifestyle Officer is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of leisure and social opportunities in conjunction with residents, families and other members of the healthcare team. This includes program plan development, and input into lifestyle expenditure. The role includes working collaboratively with the aged care team to ensure our residents are encouraged to actively participate in wellbeing and leisure activities of interest to them, ensuring their emotional, social, cultural and spiritual needs are supported.

Your experience working with clients of diverse, multi-cultural backgrounds and clients with complex needs will contribute to your success in the role. You have the ability to empower our residents to enjoy independence and pursue the lifestyle of their choice while maintaining dignity and privacy.
As someone who is highly organised and a self-motivated, you will be required to plan, develop, and deliver innovative activities programs for our residents. You can build and maintain relationships, and possess a positive demeanor and warm smile to brighten the day of our residents. You must be able to relate and communicate well to older people particularly those living with dementia or a disability.
To be successful in this role your previous experience in a similar role in residential aged care or community setting will be advantageous. It would be beneficial if you have a qualification relevant to Community Services (Leisure and Health) or equivalent, although this is not essential.
Required:
· Current WA Driver’s License
· National Police Clearance
· Working with Children’s Check
· NDIS Clearance
