WHS Advisor - Parkes (NSW)

• Must have Mining/Civil Construction experience and MUST have major projects experience

About the Role
The HSE Advisor will ensure corporate and legislative OH&S compliance and corporate quality standards as well as working with site teams and contractors to ensure standards are met. The role will be on site over a 12 month contract.

Duties

• Provision of input into lessons learned and continuous improvement.
• Providing environmental, safety, and occupational health support, assistance, and guidance to the Service Teams on a daily basis, and the wider business as required.
• Implementing the requirements of the Service Site EHS plan and company procedures at the site level.
• Monitoring compliance with company procedures and key performance indicators through inspections, audits, and reviews.
• Preparation of EHS reporting to ensure internal and external compliance for service sites on performance and opportunities for improvement.
• Supporting the company with monitoring and reporting on adherence to the company and Customer quality requirements for Service sites.
• Conducting analysis and reports on changes to relevant EHS State and Federal laws and regulations and providing advice and support on subsequent changes for internal standards.
• Management of post-incident and incident investigation in accordance with Site EHS Plans and legislative requirements.
• Maintenance of EHS and Quality records including risk and aspect registers.

To be successful you will need to have 50% of the below requirements

• A Cert IV in WHS or equivalent Level Qualification
• Solid site-based HSE experience
• Mining experience, civil construction experience and major projects experience
• Solid knowledge of QHSE processes and relevant Australian safety legislation.
• Demonstrated experience and commitment to working in compliance with OH&S Legislation
• A current unrestricted Australian Driver’s License with the ability to travel to site as required.
