360 Health + Community is a person-centred health service providing care and support to people when, where and how they need it most. Our teams deliver programs across Western Australia to help body and mind including mental health care for young people in our three headspace centres along the beautiful coastline south of Perth in Fremantle, Rockingham and Mandurah. Our vibrant team at headspace Mandurah is currently seeking an Access Clinician to join us in providing integrated, holistic mental health care and support for young people.
Access Clinicians are a multidisciplinary team engaging with young people aged 12 - 25 years within the headspace model, to provide and coordinate mental health care and other supports. This involves building a positive rapport with a wide range of young people, their family and friends, to offer a range of services that ensure young people seeking support are able to do so in the most appropriate, coordinated and effective way possible. You'll deliver a suite of clinical services including initial screening and assessment, triage, interventions and case management, as well as information coordination and shared care coordination within the service and with other service providers.
To be successful in joining our team, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification and professional registration in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Counselling or other approved field
- Current Working with Children Check and National Police Certificate less than 6 months old (or be willing to apply)
- Ideally, experience working with youth mental health, LGBTQIA+ identifying people, First Nations people, and/or Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people
- Knowledge of and ability to provide evidence based, developmentally appropriate individual and group counselling and clinical interventions including single session therapies
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with stakeholders, actively encourage the young person to participate in decisions relating to their own care, and present information at clinical meetings
- Availability to work until 6.30pm one day per week
