Lead Full Stack Engineer

MARS are recruiting a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join a fast-growing Australian company at the intersection of financial media and technology. With a mission to help investors make smarter decisions, their platforms deliver high-impact content and data to over 1 million users every month.

What You'll Be Doing

• Architect and deliver the next generation of our market-leading platforms from rebuilding legacy systems to launching entirely new features
• Lead technical decision-making and act as the technical 2IC to the CTO, helping shape long-term strategy
• Build high-performance APIs, scalable backend services, and modern frontends (they use Vue.js, but React experience is also welcome)
• Collaborate closely with product and design - you'll help shape the roadmap, not just ship tickets
• Mentor a talented, close-knit engineering team
• Work on real AI/LLM features, powering intelligent content summarisation, automation, and investor tools
• Ensure infrastructure reliability and performance on AWS

What You Bring

• Strong experience in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (Vue, React, etc.)
• Solid cloud experience (AWS) and confidence managing infrastructure
• A product mindset you're focused on delivering value, not just writing code
• Leadership ability and a collaborative style - you're ready to influence, not just implement
• Bonus if you've worked in fintech, high-growth SaaS, or data-driven environments
