In this founding-level ML role, you'll shape the core strategy and build out systems that define how AI understands truth in complex documents.

From building data ingestion pipelines to training models that replicate and exceed state-of-the-art performance — your fingerprints will be on everything.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead ML strategy and architecture in a fast-moving, greenfield startup
• Design and build data pipelines (ingestion, anonymisation, training)
• Train, evaluate and optimise NLP models – especially transformer-based
• Build and scale synthetic data tools and feedback loops (Data Gym)
• Collaborate across teams to productionise models and improve model performance
• Navigate ambiguity and balance short-term wins with long-term investments

What you'll bring to the team:

• Proven NLP experience (NER, classification, fact extraction)
• Hands-on experience with Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch
• Track record designing and building ML systems from scratch
• Startup grit, high ownership and sharp technical decision-making
• Confidence leading ML direction and mentoring best practices
• A genuine obsession with product quality and solving tough problems
