At AMPLIFY we turn the community’s ideas into outcomes that benefit all Australians. We’re non-partisan, independent, and driven by people — not politics.
Our mission is to help Australia become the fairest and most prosperous country on earth. We are a bold and fast-moving startup reimagining how communities shape politics and policy in Australia. We are a small team reaching for a big impact.
About the Role
The Amplify Campaign Director' s role is to turn the policy platform of the Amplify community into policy outcomes.
This is a senior leadership role for a strategic, values-led leader who can shift public thinking, influence decision-makers, and lead to real reform. You’ll lead the design, delivery, and impact of integrated campaigns that make policy personal—and powerful.
Working closely with the CEO and leadership team, you’ll bring together policy experts, creatives, communicators, and community voices into a single, coordinated force for change.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Strategy: Design issue-based campaigns grounded in evidence, community input, and policy priorities. Set clear goals, audiences, messages, and success metrics.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and coordinate a team that spans policy, communications, engagement, and research—ensuring alignment across functions and impact at scale.
- Stakeholder & Community Engagement: Build trusted relationships with government, media, civil society, and our national community. Champion inclusive engagement and amplify diverse voices.
- Policy Influence: Translate deliberative outputs into advocacy and reform strategies that resonate with decision-makers and align with real-world policy opportunities.
- Impact & Evaluation: Monitor performance, track impact, and share learnings with our board, funders, and community.

- A collaborative, outcomes-focused approach to stakeholder engagement.
- A strong passion for advancing an Australia that reaches its full potential as the fairest and most prosperous country on earth.
Bonus Points
- Background in political strategy, policy communications, or reform campaigning.
- Experience with brand building, digital advocacy, and crafting communications and media strategies.
Who You Are
Strategic. Human. Credible. Calm in the chaos. You can lead across difference, navigate complexity, and keep things moving towards impact.
A bit about what’s in it for you:
- A strong sense of purpose in your work. We are giving Australians a voice in the issues that matter. You will make an impact.
- Genuinely flexible work.
- Generous leave provisions including paid “shut down” days, and up to 5 days additional “Amped” leave days each year
