About the role
We are offering a permanent part time position for a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our team at the Bunbury Family Relationship Centre. The position involves the provision of Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) to separated individuals regarding parenting and property matters.
More specifically the position involves;
Assessing client needs
Conducting pre-FDR and FDR sessions with clients via face to face, telephone and Webex
Screening and assessing for family domestic violence
Identifying and reporting safety concerns
Assessing client capacity to engage in the FDR process
Providing clients with information and referrals to other services
Effective management of client caseload with strict adherence to confidentiality procedures
Completion of administration forms and navigation of client record software systems
Utilisation of individual clinical supervision and completion of training requirements
The current vacancy is 15 hours per week, based at our Bunbury office.
Skills, experience, and qualifications
The following criteria are essential to this position:
Current accreditation and registration as a family dispute resolution practitioner (pending accreditation will be considered)
Operating within a facilitative model of FDR
Understanding and demonstrated application of current theory, practice and issues related to FDR, including family violence and child inclusive practice
Utilisation of mediator micro-communication skills
Accurate and efficient record keeping and agreement writing
Ability to build rapport with a wide variety of people from diverse background with cultural sensitivity
Information technology skills, including use of Microsoft Office suite, videoconferencing, and client database technologies
