Role Status: Full-time term vacancy until 30 June 2026
Remuneration: ASO4 ($76,561 - $80,256 per annum) + 11.5% Superannuation
The Department for Child Protection is seeking an Information Release Officer to join the Legal Services Directorate on a full-time term basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Processing Freedom of Information (FOI) requests in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act.
Facilitating the effective management of information by ensuring the requirements of various legislations are met within the unit.
Providing a range of comprehensive administrative support services to senior personnel within the unit, working parties and committees.
Contributing to the preparation of memos, letters and assist with research, collation and editing of material for relevant reports.
Providing an effective customer service and case management approach when interacting with clients from diverse backgrounds.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in interpreting and applying legislation relating to sensitive information release.
Knowledge of government processes and programs relating to complaint management, subpoenas, information exchange and similar activities.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
Experience working under limited direction within broadly defined guidelines both autonomously and as a member of a team.
Experience in gathering information from a variety of sources and analysing content to develop solutions to solve issues.
