An opportunity exists for an energy governance and regulation professional to lead a high performing team delivering Victoria's inputs to the national energy market governance structures. This critical role contributes to the strategy for influencing national reforms to achieve Victoria's reform objectives. The role is also responsible for delivering critical regulatory reforms to help drive the energy transition in Victoria, covering a wide range of energy challenges which may include the transition in distribution networks, network resilience reforms and regulatory change in Victoria flowing from national market rule changes.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader and strong strategic thinker and bring great networks from across industry or energy market bodies.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- An appropriate tertiary degree, preferably in law or legal studies, or public policy.
- Strong experience with Government policy and regulatory processes and national energy reform processes, institutions and governance is highly desirable.
- Developed understanding of Victorian and national energy markets is highly desirable.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
