About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Pre-School Room Leader to join our dynamic team at St Mary Multicultural Early Learning Centre in Rhodes, NSW 2138. As the Pre-School Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in guiding and nurturing the development of our youngest learners, aged 3-5 years old. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and contribute to our inclusive, multicultural learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and Inspire: Guide a team of dedicated educators, providing mentorship, support, and professional development to ensure the highest quality of care and education.

Curriculum Development: Design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with our educational philosophy and meets the individual needs of each child.

Parent Communication: Foster strong relationships with parents and caregivers through regular communication, progress reports, and parent-teacher meetings.

Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.

Observation and Assessment: Conduct regular observations and assessments to monitor each child's progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed.

Community Involvement: Organize and participate in school events, community outreach programs, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).

Experience: Previous experience in a leadership role within a preschool or early childhood education setting.

Passion: A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to their growth and development.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.

Leadership: Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Creativity: Innovative and creative approach to teaching and problem-solving.

CPR and First Aid Certification: Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
