About the role

This is a full-time Room Leader position at Arkie Early Education Centres' in Wahroonga, NSW (salary negotiable upon hiring). As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators, planning and implementing high-quality early childhood education and care programs, and ensuring the overall wellbeing and development of the children in your care.

What you'll be doing

Lead and oversee a team of educators, providing guidance, support and professional development opportunities

Plan and implement engaging, play-based learning programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework

Observe and document children's progress, identifying their individual needs and interests

Foster positive relationships with children, families and the wider community

Ensure a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes children's learning and development

Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant regulations and policies

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service and the delivery of exceptional early childhood education

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Preferably someone with prior experience in a similar Room Leader or Senior Educator role.

Demonstrated ability to lead a team and foster a positive, collaborative work environment

Strong understanding of early childhood development, pedagogy and the National Quality Standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

Passion for promoting the wellbeing and holistic development of young children

Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certificates
