We have the following positions currently vacant; the final position description will be shaped to suit the best candidate for our team.
The Widening Participation Officer (WPO) works within the CUCCV team to co-ordinate and deliver a widening participation program. This will involve schools and community outreach, in collaboration with university partners, as per the Commonwealth Government’s Regional Partnerships Project Pool Program, conditions of grant. Activities are designed to elevate young people's post-school aspirations and increase local participation in higher education.
The First Nations Engagement & Support Role works within the CUCCV team to deliver a First Nations engagement program, complementing the existing student support and widening participation initiatives. The purpose of this role is to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in higher education through culturally-responsive community engagement, targeted educational support and mentoring, and community consultation, including schools and community groups. Activities will be designed to foster First Nations post-school aspirations and increase local participation in higher education among First Nations students.
