Your New Role

You’ll play a vital role in ensuring buildings are designed and delivered in full compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC) and other relevant legislation. Working with high-profile clients and external consultants, your role will include:

Conducting detailed NCC/BCA assessments of building designs

Preparing comprehensive compliance reports and supporting documentation

Liaising with architects, planners, specialist consultants and certifiers to identify and resolve compliance issues

Advising on risk mitigation and balancing compliance with project feasibility

Supporting the delivery of Construction and Occupation Certificates

Providing clear, confident technical guidance that drives timely approvals

You’ll be the crucial link between design intent and compliance outcomes—adding real value at every project stage.

About You

You’re an experienced compliance professional who thrives on clarity, efficiency, and impact. You bring:

Minimum 5 years' experience in NCC/BCA consultancy, building certification, or construction compliance

Strong understanding of the NCC (Volumes 1 & 2), NSW planning legislation, and Australian Standards

Confidence reviewing and interpreting architectural documentation

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—able to simplify the complex

Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying, Construction, Architecture or related field

Bonus points if you’re an Accredited Certifier or member of AIBS, RICS or similar
