Library Service Officers deliver a range of services and client assistance in support of teaching, learning and research.

About the Position
As a Library Services Officer, you will be responsible for actively contributing to the management and improvement of processes to meet client needs and will be accountable or share accountability for a defined service role within the team, changing annually or as needed operationally. These defined service roles include Research Collections Support, Teaching and Learning Collections Support, Engagement, Communications and Enquiry Management, Library Technology Support, Spaces and Circulation, Document Delivery and Acquisition and Cataloguing

About You
To be successful, you will require:

• Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high-quality, client-focused services to internal and external clients.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve problems using a creative service-orientated approach and track record in implementing, reviewing, and improving work processes and practices.
• Broad understanding of the application of information technology to library services and use of online resources and demonstrated experience with library information management systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work within a team and independently with supervision.

Desirable competencies

• Previous experience in an educational library setting.
• Previous experience working in an environment where most services are delivered online.
• Expertise and experience in the delivery of one or more of the defined service roles listed above, particularly those related to managing online collections and applying metadata for online records.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 5. The base salary will be in the range of $73,502 - $84,914 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $85,997 - $99,349 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
