FIRE PROTECTION SERVICE ENGINEER

An exciting opportunity exists for a Fire Protection Services Engineer to join our growing team, delivering high-quality engineering consultancy services to a diverse range of clients.

Based full-time in our North Sydney office, you'll play a key role in the design and delivery of industry-leading Building Engineering Services solutions.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and documentation of fire sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, and detection systems across commercial, residential, aged care, healthcare, education, and industrial sectors.

· Prepare technical drawings and specifications in line with Australian Standards, the NCC (National Construction Code), and local council requirements.

· Liaise with architects, structural engineers, and mechanical/electrical/Hydraulic consultants, as well as contractors.

· Manage multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines.

· Mentor junior fire engineers.

· Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and provide commissioning support.

Qualifications & Experience

· Degree in Building Service Engineering, or equivalent.

· 3+ years’ experience in Fire Service engineering within building services.

· Chartered status (CPEng) or actively working towards it (desirable).

· Registered Building Practitioner – Class 2, 3, and 9c.

· Proficiency in using engineering design software, such as AutoCAD and BIM tools

· Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia, and engineering regulations.

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team).
