HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced EL1 level Assistant Domain Owner on behalf of our Federal Government client based in SURRY HILLS SYDNEY NSW. This exciting opportunity sits within a highly collaborative service design and delivery environment and offers the chance to lead digital product improvements that directly enhance experiences for participants, staff, and providers within the Scheme.

About the Role:
As the EL1 level Assistant Domain Owner, you will play a pivotal role in leading complex, cross-functional projects that impact strategic and operational outcomes. You will be responsible for the performance, planning and delivery of human-centred service design initiatives that enhance the quality and usability of digital products across the participant and provider journey.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing data and analytics requirements for digital products across participant and provider pathways.
• Acting as a central point of contact for production and support of digital tools.
• Leading teams through design and build phases, ensuring priorities are clearly defined and risks are managed.
• Collaborating closely with Product Owners, technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Supervising and developing Business Analysts to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Facilitating stakeholder sessions and presenting findings to senior leadership for decision-making.
• Supporting the creation of user stories, prototypes, and design artefacts aligned with accessibility and usability principles.
• Ensuring alignment of digital products with strategic goals and end-user needs.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of leadership capability, technical knowledge, and a passion for service design. You are confident navigating complex stakeholder environments and take pride in delivering meaningful outcomes for users.
You will have:

• Proven experience leading teams in a business analysis or service design environment.
• Strong knowledge of human-centred design principles and agile methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and solve complex problems.
• Experience in delivering digital product enhancements from discovery through to implementation.
• Ability to manage risk, support governance processes and influence at senior levels.
• A strong understanding of accessibility, usability and the participant journey.
