The salary range for this position is between $32.77 and $32.87 per hour, plus reimbursement of $0.96 per KM. Hourly rate is based on experience/ hours of service.

About this role
As a growing region, Greater Brisbane Home Care is looking for dedicated and qualified Home Care Workers to join their team of compassionate professionals. This role involves working between 30 to 60 hours per fortnight, assisting elderly clients to live safely and independently in their own homes while promoting their well-being and autonomy.
Home Care Workers in this position work independently, traveling from one client to another and are fully supported by a skilled team that includes two very supportive Team Leaders and three Senior Home Care Workers who guide and assist field staff when working autonomously. Greater Brisbane Home Care holds a monthly team meeting to foster team building and provide ongoing support. This role offers variety, meaningful connections, and the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Help clients with daily tasks like showering, dressing, and toileting.
- Support clients with taking their medication on time.
- Assist with cleaning, cooking, and keeping the home safe.
- Offer companionship and help clients join social activities.
- Follow and update care plans to match each client's needs.
To be suitable for the position, ideally you have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent;
- A current driver's license and a reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for work purposes are essential for this role. (Reimbursement of $0.96 per KM is provided for use of own vehicle)
Possess or willingness to obtain;
- Assist clients with medication Certificate - HLTHPS006;
- Up-to-date First Aid and CPR Certification;
- A current National Police Certificate.
