About the role

We are seeking a Yard Supervisor to join our team at Cleveland Timber & Hardware in Bohle, QLD. As our Yard Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our warehouse and yard, ensuring a smooth flow of materials and excellent customer service. This is a full-time position based in our Bohle location.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the work of the yard team, including scheduling, task allocation and performance management

Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of timber, hardware, and other building materials

Ensure inventory accuracy and optimal stock levels to meet customer demands

Monitor safety and quality standards in the yard and warehouse operations

Liaise with customers, suppliers, and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes

Provide hands-on support and training to the yard team as needed

Contribute to the continuous improvement of yard and warehouse operations

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Yard Supervisor or similar role in the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industries

Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, suppliers, and colleagues

Good understanding of inventory management, warehousing, and material handling procedures

Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse/yard environment

Forklift licence and experience operating material handling equipment
