Our client, Singleton Council, is seeking a motivated and community-minded Community Recycling Centre / Weighbridge Operator to join their Waste Management Facility team. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on, customer-facing role and is passionate about environmental sustainability.

You’ll work on a rotating roster across 7 days, 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. This role involves both customer service and operational duties, contributing to environmentally responsible waste management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate the Community Recycling Centre (CRC) and weighbridge in line with environmental and council guidelines

Support customers with waste drop-off and ensure proper disposal practices

Weigh and log waste materials using council systems

Perform light maintenance and keep the site clean and safe

Sort, manage, and process recyclable materials such as cardboard, oils, paints, and soft plastics

What We’re Looking For:

Forklift Licence (Essential)

White Card (Essential)

Full drivers Licence (Essential)

HR Licence (Desirable)

Experience in waste management or a similar field preferred

Ability to work on a rotating 7-day roster (between 7 AM and 5 PM)

Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various conditions
