About the role

Affirm OT Pty Ltd, a leading Paediatric OT provider, is seeking an experienced and passionate Community Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in a subtractor role. This role is based within the community, supporting clients in Melbourne's North, North East and will provide occupational therapy services to families experiencing a need for professional support. We support a range of private, Medicare and NDIS clients, giving us flexibility in our model.

What you'll be doing

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' functional abilities, needs and goals

Develop and implement person-centred intervention plans to help children work towards milestones, support their independence and build quality of life

Provide a range of occupational therapy interventions, across natural environments

Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care

Maintain detailed clinical records and documentation in accordance with professional standards

Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a community-based setting

Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the AHPRA

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and demonstrate initiative

Demonstrated assessment and clinical reasoning skills to develop effective client-centred interventions

A passion for support children from birth to young adults

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals

Commitment to continuing professional development and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of the families you support
