About the role:

From the partnership between University of Canberra and the Snow Foundation the Snow Scholarship is a new and transformative program supporting students from diverse or Indigenous backgrounds from Canberra and regional or rural NSW, who are facing barriers to higher education. The program provides support for the entire duration of their degree providing financial and pastoral care support, leadership development, a First Nations experience and education and more. It’s about changing lives and creating impact, nurturing the next generation of leaders.

As part of this program, we are seeking a Program Manager to lead and oversee the delivery and development of the Snow Scholarship. Reporting to the Director of Student Life, the role is a key contact for Snow Scholars, providing personalised and holistic support, managing program operations, and contributing to strategic engagement across the university and beyond to ensure the program delivers meaningful impact. The Program Manager will also represent the Snow Foundation through their work, embodying its values and commitment to supporting extraordinary students.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Snow Centre.
• Foster strong and collaborative relationships with students, university stakeholders & external partners.
• Ensuring wellbeing, pastoral care, and success for all Snow Scholars.
• Coordinate learning supports, tutoring, social and development activities and events.
• Financial management of the program
• Track and report on program outcomes, objectives, and milestones.
• Prepare and maintain documentation including policies, procedures, and program guidelines.
• Drive continuous improvement of the program with a strong focus on leadership development and First Nations experience and education.
• Implement a robust evaluation framework to assess program success.

About you:

To be considered for this role you should be a dynamic, strategic and empathetic leader with experience in student support, program coordination, pastoral care or scholarship administration. Your strengths lie in building trusted relationships, managing complex programs, and driving initiatives that create lasting impact. Your interpersonal and communication skills are excellent, and you are confident in managing budgets, reporting, and operational planning

The successful applicant will ideally have experience in program or student support management, preferably in a higher education or not-for-profit setting. A background in or strong connection to First Nations communities is highly desirable.
