At Blacks Beach Tavern (part of CQ Hotels Group) we operate 3 bottle shops and are looking for a positive minded and experienced Retail Manager to not only work in, but oversee all facets of the retail business, while working closely with the Venue Manager and our Head Office team.

People are at the forefront of our business and your exceptional leadership, commercial acumen and guidance will support development of our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading 3 stores under our CQ Liquor banner.

You are a person who acts as a true leader - we keep things simple, especially for our store teams, to ensure we can focus on what’s important - our customers.

Here is some of what you can expect in this role:

• Proactively contribute to the delivery of CQ’s strategy
• Lead and Inspire your team, fostering a great culture in conjunction with the Venue Manager and Head Office Team
• Stock ordering, dealing with supplier reps, in store promotions in line with Group Catalogues
• Working in stores, getting to know our customers and what products are selling
• Stocktaking on a regular basis as per Group guidelines

To be successful in this role, you will Ideally demonstrate experience in the following key areas:

• An experienced retail liquor operator with exceptional leadership and self driven
• Ability to influence and drive outcomes for the group
• Innovative, forward thinking and resilient, and an ability to adapt and lead teams through change
• A real team player
• Curiosity to learn and self develop
• Forklift Licence (or willing to obtain)
