5 Heads Pty Ltd Progressive Supplies is a family owned and run wholesale business operating out of Broome, Derby and Perth. We have a long list of customers throughout WA, providing a wide range of high-quality products and services.

Our Broome branch is home to a retail office and warehouse, with the potential for a high number of sales in this customer-focused environment. We are looking to add a positive, hard-working individual to our team, to manage the Retail Management of this branch.

About the role

As Retail Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our store, lead and develop the team, manage stock and inventory, and ensure an outstanding customer experience. This is a key leadership role requiring a hands-on approach to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, hire, train, and supervise a high-performing team through proactive coaching and development, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused environment.

Manage staff scheduling, performance reviews, and ongoing support to ensure alignment with business goals and operational efficiency.

Oversee inventory control, including accurate stock monitoring using inventory software tools, conducting regular stocktakes, and minimizing wastage through effective planning and rotation systems.

Implement merchandising and promotional strategies, pricing policies, and marketing initiatives to drive sales and improve store performance.

Maintain accurate records of stock levels, financial transactions, and operational reports, supporting data-driven decisions.

Source and liaise with suppliers to maintain strong relationships, resolve supply chain or delivery issues, and ensure timely replenishment of key products.

Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety (WHS), and hygiene standards through structured procedures and regular audits.

Prepare inventory for delivery or customer collection, coordinating logistics and cross-department communication with internal teams and external suppliers.

Assist front-of-house and customer service teams in resolving issues, enhancing the customer experience and contributing to team flexibility.

Collaborate closely with management and other branches to ensure smooth retail operations and implement process improvements.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum of 1 year experience in retail

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Experience with inventory management and stock control.

Sound understanding of workplace health and safety and food safety compliance.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems.

Ability to implement pricing, promotional strategies, and liaise with suppliers
