Due to the continued success in securing projects, Zafa Contracting are now looking to increase our capacity to successfully deliver to our clients. We have a fantastic opportunity for experienced casual truck drivers to join our organisation. We offer flat rate hours with flexibility of day or night work positions.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

You will be completing all tasks and duties required for driving locally as well as some long-distance jobs.

• Transport asphalt materials to and from job sites.
• Operate heavy trucks safely an efficiently.
• Assist with the loading an unloading of asphalt products.
• Maintain communication with the paving crew and other team members.
• Make sure the load is correctly placed and secure.
• Ensure timely delivery of material's according to job specifications.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Carrying out the daily and weekly inspections and maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
• Report all repairs required and/or shortcomings in the performance of the vehicle.
• Undertake the safe operation of the assigned vehicle within the limits of the manufacture’s specifications.

Essential Skills Required

• HR License required
• Construction Induction White Card
• Drivers License
• Must have experience loading and unloading materials
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation.
• Ability to use initiative and communicate any potential issues or risks to the business.
• Be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Have a great attitude and strong work ethic.
