About the role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Female Disability Support Workers with prior mental health exposure (Caucaisan background) to join our team at Infinite Ability. This full time/part time/casual roles are based in Craigieburn, VIC 3064 and will involve providing personalised care and support to individuals with disabilities.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

Providing companionship and engaging clients in meaningful social and recreational activities

Advocating for clients' needs and rights, and collaborating with their support networks

Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures

Ongoing participation in training and professional development to enhance your skills

What we're looking for

Proven experience in supporting particpants with mental health diagnosis

Experience in adhering positive behaviour support plan

Experience in providing support to behaviourally challenging participants

A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the disability support sector

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others

A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation

Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
