About the Role
As a Civil Lawyer in our Darwin office, you’ll provide expert legal advice and representation across a diverse range of civil law areas, including:
- Police and prison accountability
- Child protection
- Tenancy, social security, and guardianship
- Consumer, discrimination, and VOCAT matters
- Coronial inquests and law reform
You’ll deliver legal services in urban and remote communities and have the opportunity to work on test cases and systemic advocacy that drives social justice.
What You'll Do
- Manage a dynamic caseload of civil matters
- Deliver legal advice clinics across the NT, including remote travel
- Contribute to law reform and policy advocacy
- Collaborate with a passionate, multidisciplinary team
- Engage with government and community stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
✔ Admitted or eligible for admission as a solicitor in the NT & High Court
✔ Experience or strong interest in civil law litigation and advocacy
✔ Willingness to travel and work with Aboriginal communities
✔ Strong cross-cultural communication skills
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
A current driver’s licence and Ochre Card eligibility are required.
